Start by turning on the power on the stairlift and make sure the stairlift is working and operational, by the remote controls.

Stop the stairlift somewher near the bottom of the stairs and then turn the stairlift isolation switch off.

Removing the seat

To remove the seat assembly now need to be removed of the seat post on the carriage.

Carry this out as follow:

  1. Fold up the seat arms and seat base.

  2. Swivel the seat slightly by pressing on the swivel lever , without locking the seat on the locking position 

  3. Now start swiveling the seat from side to side with small rapid movements at the same time pull the seat up , you can do this by holding the seat arms .

Operating the stairlift without the seat on.

Incase you moved the seat swivel switch actuator from its operating postion during removing the seat, you will get fault code : E5. 

Posison Roller Lever switch in the inward half moon cut on the actuator. you should see A1  .

Now drive the stairlift toward the up.

Using the remote control, drive the stairlift up until it reach the very to of the track. The stairlift is now free to be pulled out of the track.

Make sure you holding the stairlift on the right way as you pulling t out of the track, as it got plastic safe edges can be broken easily
